Work that gets seen on site and on the street
Across a wide range of sign types, the scope covers printed vinyl, routered Perspex, aluminium and brass, light boxes, fabricated 3D lettering, pylons, road signs, billboards and LED video screens. The work runs from the initial site survey to fabrication, approval support, installation and final handover.
We are based in Modderfontein, Johannesburg and support brands, developers and municipalities in Gauteng, Durban and beyond. Some projects are straightforward. Others involve municipal approvals, structural checks, site access limits, coastal humidity, night work or live traffic. Good people here need to stay calm, practical and organised.
The roles we usually build around
We do not hire for a single type of person. We need a mix of technical, creative and site minded people who can work together and keep details tight.
- Signage consultants who understand briefs, budgets and practical materials
- Project coordinators who can track programmes, suppliers and site access
- Design and visualisation support for layouts, mock-ups and presentation packs
- Fabrication staff with experience in cutting, assembly, finishing and quality control
- Site rigging and installation crews who can work safely at height
- LED screen technicians who understand cabling, mounting and maintenance access
What matters most in our team
We look for people who take ownership and do the job properly. You do not need to know every part of the process on day one, but you must be willing to learn, ask the right questions and keep your standards high.
- Clear communication with clients, suppliers and site teams
- Careful measurements and attention to detail
- Respect for safety rules, harness checks and lifting procedures
- Ability to handle pressure when deadlines shift or weather interrupts work
- Comfort with early starts, site visits and the occasional late finish
Experience in signage, fabrication, construction, print or electrical work is useful. So is a hands on attitude and a proper respect for other people’s time.
How our projects are run
Our work is structured, because signage needs to fit the building, the road, the municipality and the client brand all at once. Team members may be involved in site surveys in Sandton one day and a rigging plan for a pylon in Pretoria the next.
Our internal process usually includes signage strategy, wayfinding planning, design development, material specification, structural coordination, approval support, fabrication management, installation management, LED screen integration, maintenance planning and project handover. You may work with Sibusiso Mthembu, Leanne van Wyk, Sakhile Motsepe, Thandiwe Ndlovu, Riaan Smit or Omolemo Msiza depending on the stage of the job.
What we offer the right person
We value reliability and steady growth. People who join us should expect proper project exposure, a varied workload and the chance to work on visible work that ends up on buildings, roads and public spaces across South Africa and the rest of Africa.
- Exposure to commercial, public and large format signage work
- Practical learning across design, fabrication and site delivery
- Support from experienced project and site leads
- A workplace where safe working and careful finishing matter
- Projects that range from local Gauteng sites to work across the continent
