Our team

The people behind the work are the reason our signage holds up on site, in traffic and in the weather. From first survey to final handover, our team plans, builds and rigs with the realities of Gauteng and the rest of Africa in mind.

A Johannesburg team built around site realities

Deep3 Signage Consultants is based in Modderfontein and works across Johannesburg, Gauteng and beyond, so the team is set up for real site conditions rather than showroom talk. We deal with municipal approvals, live traffic, load-shedding, coastal humidity and the practical limits of each building, pylon or screen mounting point.

The people listed below handle the work from different angles, but the handover between them is tight. That matters when a project needs measured site surveys, clear drawings, fabrication control and safe installation on a tight programme.

  • Signage strategy and wayfinding planning
  • Material and structural specification
  • Fabrication, installation and rigging coordination
  • Maintenance planning and project handover

Sibusiso Mthembu keeps the project moving

Sibusiso Mthembu leads the business and stays close to the important decisions on every job. He works through the brief, budget, programme and site constraints so the final result suits the client, the landlord or the municipality, not just the drawing sheet.

His role is to keep teams aligned when a project needs quick turnaround, especially on multi-site rollouts or public-facing work where safety and compliance cannot slip. He is also the point where commercial sense and technical detail meet, which keeps expensive mistakes off site.

Sibusiso leads Deep3 with a practical focus on signage that can be built, approved and maintained without drama.

Leanne van Wyk runs the moving parts

Leanne van Wyk manages operations and keeps the paperwork, schedules and deliveries in order. She tracks the flow between design, procurement, fabrication and site teams, which is where most delays usually start if no one is paying attention.

Her work often includes coordinating suppliers, checking lead times, and making sure install dates line up with access windows, municipal requirements and client site rules. On busy weeks, that means juggling several towns at once, from Sandton and Midrand to Pretoria and Germiston.

  • Programme control and delivery tracking
  • Supplier coordination and material follow-up
  • Client updates and site access planning

Sakhile Motsepe and Thandiwe Ndlovu shape the technical detail

Sakhile Motsepe handles project engineering, where structure, fixing methods and electrical coordination need proper attention. He checks loads, brackets, anchoring and service access so signs and LED screens are specified for the actual building and not just the front elevation.

Thandiwe Ndlovu leads design and visualisation, turning briefs into clear signage concepts that make sense on the site. She works through scale, legibility, colour contrast and placement, so the finished sign reads well from a vehicle, a pavement or a distance of 80 metres and more.

Together they help clients avoid guesswork. If a pylon needs to stand in wind-prone conditions or a wayfinding system has to fit an active estate, the detail is sorted early, not patched later.

Riaan Smit and Omolemo Msiza manage fabrication and rigging

Riaan Smit supervises fabrication, making sure the aluminium, brass, Perspex, vinyl and welded components come together properly in the workshop. He pays attention to finish quality, fixing points and the small things that matter when signage is exposed to sun, rain and dust day after day.

Omolemo Msiza coordinates site rigging and installation, which is where planning becomes visible. He works with cranes, access gear, lifting plans and safe methods for placing signs, pylons and screen structures at height or over active areas. That includes the kind of site where everything has to happen before trading starts, or after hours with minimum disruption.

  • Workshop checks before dispatch
  • Safe lifting and installation planning
  • Final alignment, power-up and sign-off

How the team works from brief to handover

That gives the work a clear chain of responsibility, whether the job is printed vinyl in Randburg, a routed Perspex feature in Centurion, or a large LED screen installation for a developer in Durban.

The team also plans for maintenance from the start, because signage does not end on install day. Access panels, replacement parts, cleaning methods and servicing intervals are considered before fabrication, which helps extend the life of the asset and keeps callouts down.

Across all our branches and project areas, the same approach applies: measure properly, specify carefully, build to last and hand over cleanly. It sounds simple, but on site it makes a real differnce.

  • Clear roles at every stage
  • Practical planning for approvals and maintenance
  • Support across Gauteng and the rest of Africa
